Secretary's Report no report

Treasurer's Report Christine provided the annual Treasurers Report.  The starting balance in checking as of August 31, 2014  is $53,403.12.  Total deposits were $62,531.27 and total expenses were $62,054.20 with the difference being $477.07.  The balance in checking as of September 1, 2015 is $53,880.19.  The starting balance in savings as of August 31, 2014 is $17,030.01.  Total interest earned was $3.64, making the balance as of September 31, 2015 $17.033.65 in savings.  The total assets as of September 1, 2015 is $70,913.84.  A motion was made my Linda Brady to accept the Treasurers Report, Brian Sharp seconded.  All in favor.  Motion carries.

Membership Ryan stated POPAI has 872 members and 32 corporate members.

Juvenile Delinquency Alternative Initiative (JDAI) Update no report

Probation Officer Advisory Board Update Troy advised of the upcoming Regional Meeting locations. November 6 - Plymouth, IN (Northern); November 9 - Jasper, IN (Southern); and November 10 - Carmel, IN (Central). Also the PO Annual meeting is scheduled for May 4 and 5, 2016 a the Indianapolis Convention Center.

Election Cherie reports on this year's election results. Vice President Ryan Hull, Treasurer is Christine Kerl, District 1 (open), District 3 Sarah Lochner, District 5 CJ Miller, and District 7 Brian Sharp. Nomination from the floor for District 1 for Robert Schuster (LaPorte County), Jimmy seconded. All in favor. Motion carries.

Awards and Recognition Jimmy presents on the winners of the Probation Officer and the Rookie Officer of the Year Awards. The PO of the Year is awarded to Elizabeth Stark from Clark County, and the Rookie of the Year is Rachel Jones from Clark County.

Legislation no report

Technology Ryan reports on a few updates to the website and introduces Karen Oeding, webmaster, for some remarks. Karen encouraged everyone to become navigate around on and become familiar with the website, including the recently added Facebook page and LinkedIn.

Old Business no report

New Business Troy provided the By Law proposed revision for Life Membership which has been posted on the website for 60 days. It is being presented today for vote. Cherie Wood motions to approve the By-Law revisions, Adam McQueen seconded. All in favor. Motion carries. Troy also recognized the outgoing POPAI Board Members, Jimmy Taylor District 1 Representative, and Jesse Carlton District 3 Representative.

Next Meeting Linda reminded everyone of the next POPAI Board Meeting, Friday September 18, 2015 at 11:00am. Cherie motioned to adjourn, Brian seconded it. Meeting adjourned at 12:45pm.
