Francine Perretta recognized Commissioner Pozzi at the NAPE Reception for his fifty years of service in the probation profession.

“Teddy Roosevelt once said that an effective leader is one who recognizes the importance of surrounding yourself with staff who are dedicated to achieving the organization’s mission and then being smart enough to stay out of their way so they can do their jobs.

The old adage that we are only as good as the people who work for us is as true today as it was when it was first spoken. I have adopted the philosophy that all the good things we have accomplished over the years are achieved by our team. Any failures were mine!

This has proved to be the winning formula that has allowed me to survive as a probation executive and continue to serve as a probation professional for fifty years.” – Rocco Pozzi
