This new documentary for ITV meets some of America’s youngest and most dangerous criminals growing up inside.

Kids Behind Bars steps beyond the barbed wire into a world where teenage prisoners have been punished like adults, with many facing long sentences which could see them spend most, if not all, of their adult lives inside.
With extensive access to Indiana’s Wabash Correctional Facility, a maximum security prison, the programme provides a close insight into the lives of the incarcerated youths in its unit for teenagers, Block D, from those spending their first night to those preparing to move up to adult jail.
