Columbia Justice Lab and EXiT presented a panel discussion at the just ended APPA winter training institute. Titled “Partners In Change: The importance of Community Stakeholders,” the panel was moderated by Kendra Bradner, the Director of Probation and Parole Reform Project at Columbia Justice Lab and featured the following panelists: Ruben Austria, the Founding and Executive Director of Community Corrections for Youth; Michael Mendoza, the National Advocacy Director for the National Recidivism Coalition and Wendy Still, EXiT Steering Committee Member and former Chief Probation Officer of Alameda and San Francisco counties. The panel addressed the unique role that community stakeholders can play in advancing probation and parole reform. The panel can be viewed here.
