Richard A. Baldwin, 63, of Greensburg
Richard A. Baldwin, 63, Greensburg, died at 7:45 p.m. Jan. 29 at his residence in Greensburg.

Born June 8, 1940 in Greensburg, he was the son of Miles A. and Helen K. (Huber) Baldwin.

He was a former Lieutenant at the Greensburg Police Department and then served as the Chief Adult Probation Officer in Decatur County. He served in the Navy from 1958-1962.. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he served as Past Grand Knight, First year Columbian and Fourth Degree member. He was a member of the American Legion Post where he served as the Judge Advocate. He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church where he served as a former Parish Council Member and an usher. He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1958.

He was married to Frieda L. Schiff on May 9, 1964 and she survives.

Aside from his wife, he is survived by two sons, Mark Baldwin, Greensburg, Chris Baldwin, St. Paul; two daughters, Betsy Hammond, Greensburg, Bridget Ryan, Greensburg; three brothers, Jack Baldwin, Hanover, Maryland, Jim Bob Baldwin, Cincinnati, Bruce Baldwin, Muncie; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dan Baldwin.

Memorials may be made to the Decatur County Hospice.
