Murdered mother’s family questions probation officer (Florida)

It’s a video, that over two months after it was taken, is still haunting.

34-year-old Kristen Finn used her cell phone to record an argument with her husband Michael, about prescription drug use.

“When you are sober we get along great Michael,” Kristen is overheard saying in the video.

But arrest records for domestic violence and drugs show that had been a problem for Michael. For most of the 32-minute long video, Michael’s voice is slurred and his actions are erratic.

On May 7th, the family feared Finn had started drinking excessively, which they say was a violation of his parole.

“Kristen told me when she picked me up from work, he’s drinking. I said ‘not a problem’, I called the probation officer,” Kristen’s mother–Opal Harris said.

Phone records obtained by 10 News show two phone calls to the Bartow probation office. No one called back.
