This coffee chat will be focused on earned time credit policies, which is one of the policy aims highlighted in EXiT’s foundational Statement. In particular, Barb will share about Arizona’s experience of implementing earned time credit, challenges related to the intersection of earned time and supervision fines/fees, overall successes, and other lessons learned. This coffee chat will explore how earned time credits can be part of a strategy to increase successful completion, reduce caseloads and unnecessarily long supervision terms, and bolster success instead of punishing failure. Participation will be limited to a small group, so that participants may bring their own questions, experiences, successes, and challenges to discuss and work through with Barb and with your peers.
