Current position: Probation Officer
Experience: I have been a probation officer for 10 years, since 1998. I earned my Master’s degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology in July 2006. My caseload consists of high risk offenders, mainly sex offenders and some mentally-ill cases. I am a relief staff for mentally ill residents in an assistant living facility ran through Park Center. In 2005 I went through training for Managing Sex Offenders’ Computer Use with trainer Jim Tanner in Colorado. In 2006 went through training for Motivational Interviewing in California.

Current position: Chief Probation Officer

Experience: I have a total of over 19 years in the field of Probation, beginning in 1983. I served over as a Field Officer, a Predispositional Officer and as Intake Supervisor before completing a Masters in Social Work and Joining a local private practice in 1988 to work as a therapist with teens and families. After almost 4 years of experience in inpatient (hospital-based), outpatient and school social work, I returned to Probation as a Field Supervisor for a year before becoming Chief P.O. in January of 1993.

Organizations/Affiliations: POPAI; NASW; United Way Executive Board; serve as Chair of the Madison County Child Protection and Child Fatality Review Teams; member of the Local Coordinating Committee and member of the Madison County United Way Board of Directors and chair the Community Impact Committee
